Dear friends and fellow travellers,
It’s already June, and almost half the year 2010 is behind us. For me it’s been a very busy year thus far. I’m back from a full and memorable trip to the Bay Area. Met many interesting people, shared informative conversations and beautiful heart connections.
The Moonfyre Metaphysical in Cambell is a sweet cozy and welcoming store where I had my first talk, followed by a talk at East West Bookstore the next day, and at FMBR (Foundation for Mind Being Research – www.fmbr.org)the day after. Since I never prepare for my talks and always speak to the people who are present at the time, every talk was different and enjoyable in its own way.
It was a treat to see so many baby boomers at the FMBR talk who had been on the path to awakening since the seventies and eighties! As I too fall into the category, I very much enjoyed feeling the familiar energies… ah…!
I started my search for Truth in the late 70s, and like many intellectuals, looked to find the big “T” by trying to decipher IT with my mind. Fortunately, at age 24 I fell into the lap of the famous Indian mystic Osho, and only by sitting in his presence, listening to his talks, meditating, and learning to surrender I was able to recognize how my mind and the search itself kept me captive. Many people search for that ultimate awakening experience we call enlightenment, and don’t realize until they actually experience it, that the need to “have it” is what prevents them from experiencing it.
Many teachers speak of this paradox, and feel helpless at the same time on how to convey this to others and help them transcend the paradox. My experience has shown me that it’s impossible to transcend the paradox with the mind alone because the mind itself is the problem. So the way I like to teach and work with people is very practical – just continue peeling away the layers of your unconscious that prevent you from seeing and being in the light of your consciousness as you cultivate your witnessing awareness at the same time and you’ll be liberated from the duality of the mind!
At the one-day workshop at FMBR, I was once again happy to introduce and experiment with my light-speed Self-Healing DHM. I was also happy to introduce the NO-YES Active Meditation, and the new CD, which to my surprise was sold out of its first run (50 copies). As always, I delighted in seeing a lot of energy moving and transforming for the participants.
I’m back in Vancouver once again and getting ready to begin the 8 week HEALING INTO CONSCIOUSNESS Course based on the chapters of my book In Search of the Miraculous: Healing into Consciousness. (I moved the start date to June 12th to be able to re-group and have some extra time to prepare for this practical hands-on course. I never like to repeat what I do, so I always try to be creative and spontaneous with what the energy of the participants in the present moment dictates. (Registrations are still open for the course, and a $100 discount is available if you register before June 8th. )
During the course we’ll be looking at the development of your ego and consciousness in each of the charkas, identifying the blocks, and receiving direct guidance on how to work with your individul needs and concerns. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions regarding your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, receive weekly assignments, practice with a different Active Meditation each week, and share your experiences through a private blog set up for the participants of the course.

Our beautiful guide Hilary (in red) who lives there, happily took us around a very special ancient coastline that has survived many past earth changes. In the photo are also our most gracious hosts Jerry and Peggy, who lovingly welcomed us in their beautiful home and took care of all our needs while we were in the Bay Area.
